Friday Fragments/Freewheeling Friday

This sign showed up on a garage up the street from us this week.
I wonder if the boy was to shy to ask in person or just being creative.

Doc had a meeting with a guy in Boulder last week. When their business was concluded the guy said "oh, let me give you my card."  This is  what he gave him.  It looks to me like he is a fun guy with a good sense of humor.

My daughter, Jill, posted this on her Facebook page this week. I loved it because I think she unwittingly described herself perfectly. Jill is the most easy-going, unflappable, take-it-as-it-comes,  sensible person that I know. She always has a smile and a kind word. She is a true role model to me.

  1. I enjoyed seeing all these fragments!

  2. I don't think there's any 'just asking' anymore. Boys have to get creative. I feel for them...sometimes these prom invites rival marraige proposals!

  3. LOL with the business card; a jack of all trades, I guess :)

great motto of your daughter's; I think one we should all adopt :)

    have a great weekend Jeanie!

  4. Your daughter sounds like a wonderful person and I love the way you describe her.

  5. Congrats to your daughter on figuring that out at such an early age. Very impressive.

BTW - she should have put a sign on the garage? Steve? Bill? John? The guy did not even sign it...

  6. What a great testament to your daughter. You can be so proud of that.
Love that business card. That guy knows how to get hired. LOL!

  7. It's quite obvious you raised your daughter well. It takes some of us a lifetime to figure it out!!!

I gotta hoot outta the business card...what fun!!!

God bless and have a beautiful weekend sweetie!!! :o)

  8. that business card is what your daughter need to go around with a poor me attitude...a smile can make you feel so much better...

  9. Wow! I wish I could be the person she is.

  10. I enjoyed all of these. Your daughter Jill sounds like a wonderful gal. And that business card was a hoot. Hope the girl went to the prom. sandie

  11. Kudos to you for a job well done with your daughter! I agree, it is so much easier to smile than to scowl (takes more face muscles).

The business card is too funny!

My girls' prom days are over. They didn't have very creative dates, but my boys made up for it!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  12. Aww..I love you too!

  13. I think that guy with the business card is quite the Renaisance Man! What a compliment you've given your daughter. Good for her!

  14. Love that last pic - words of wisdom.

  15. Whew, just in time. I was looking for a good stunt pilot.

I'd love to know your daughter. She sounds like she has a pretty good handle on life already.

  16. Hi Jeanie,
