Don't Bug Me

I not a very grumpy person.....really, I'm not. There aren't a lot of things that bother me, but it seems like today I have run into several of the things that really bug me, all in the same day. I shouldn't let these things bug me because either they are none of my business or there's nothing I can do about them, but, well, tell me what you think.

A passenger's bare feet on the dashboard or hanging out the window is just something I don't really want to see. I guess it's better than the driver's feet on the dashboard.

Having another driver honk, give me a dirty look or yell at me (this guy did all three) when I thought I was driving perfectly well. I think he must have just been having a bad day.

Finding a flier left on my windshield in a parking lot. I consider it littering.

Sprinklers running during a rainstorm.  What a waste.

Isn't everyone bugged by those stickers on all the fruits and vegetables we buy at the grocery store. One more reason to go to the Farmer's Market.

Okay, I'm done now.

Thanks for letting me get that out.

It has actually been a pretty good day, all in all.

I would say "have a nice day", but I've heard that it bugs some people to hear that.

  1. hahaha, I agree on all of your pet peeves. The guy who honks at me while driving would probably see a fist from me. :) And YES those stickers bug me too!!

  2. I am glad you didn't say have a nice day. That does bother me.

Seeing people with their pets on their laps while they are driving bothers me too.

  3. I'm guessing that you were driving too slow for his liking. A lot of speed demons out there.

The sprinklers are probably on automatic settings. They don't know it's raining. LOL

The stickers on the fruit are a pain, because they're usually hard to peel off.

But feet on the dash don't bother me. I think it's kinda cool. A free and easy mindset.

  4. My biggest pet driving peeve is people who have their dog/s in the back of the pickup or FLATBED TRAILER with no restraint. I'm always torn between driving up next to them and honking my horn, shaking my fist, and yelling...or staying way behind so I don't hit the dog when it falls out on a curve. (Just saw this the other day.)

  5. I thought maybe your post was going to be about bugs, literally! I was stung by a wasp yesterday and boy did that smart!

I am with you on your peeves, especially with other drivers!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  6. Those are all very good complaints and they bug me too. I especially detest fliers on my car window.

  7. Well, gosh, your list is actually pretty nice I would say. When I am driving at the posted speed limit on a two lane road and a driver is on my back bumper wanting me to go faster, that bugs me. There is no place for me to go and I am not going to speed up and possibly get a ticket and neither am I going to pull into a parking lot or somewhere so he can speed up. I know some people believe they are so much more important than everyone else on the road but I have to disagree.
The flyers under the windshield are littering as well as when people throw things out of their car windows no matter where they are. While driving the debris blows into another car.

  8. The art of living is not to let the bugs bug you... Easier said than done, though!

  9. I'm guilty.... when we go on long car rides I put my feet up. I have ideopathic edema and my ankles swell just from being down. I put them up so that by the time I get to the affair, party, whatever, my ankles aren't swelling around the straps of my sandles. It's a very frustrating condition, but I do apologize because I'm sure it doesn't look so great from another drivers standpoint. Otherwise, I agree with everything else you posted.

  10. well shoot for a rather irritable person--MYSELF--none of those things really bother me. Sprinklers are on timers and don't know any better. The feet thing I am guilty of on long trips. the rude drivers that honk well yeah I wish I could shoot their tires off sometimes...and then I eat chocolate.
    Do you need chocolate?

  12. Lots of those things bug me as well... I just don't get the whole sprinkler thing, I think they should not work in the rain!

  13. Now don't hold back baby! These days if ya ride with your feet propped up on the dash and the air bag is deployed ya'll just be laundry. Yep, folded in half!!! :o)

    God bless your day sweetie!!!
