Good News and Really Good News

I have said here before that I am no computer genius so when something goes wrong I am at a loss about what is causing it or what to do about it.

Thus, I have spend the last few weeks with a verrry slooow and very undependable computer. Sometimes I could get on the internet and sometimes not. When I could get on it was painfully slow getting something like a blog post to come up and leaving a comment was nearly impossible. I finally took my computer to my computer guy for a clean up. While it was there I used my laptop and was having the same problems. Aaarghh! It turns out that the answer was all new equipment from my internet provider which got installed yesterday. All minor in the whole of life, but it is good news for me to have things running right again.

Now here is the really, really good news

Addison, the son of my daughter's good friend, has been such an inspiration to so many during his years of treatment. There have been some really rough times during his treatment and he always found some good even in the worst times. He has truly lived up to his own motto: I don't have time for cancer!

  1. That is wonderful news -- from you regarding your internet provider, and from Addison regarding his treatment. Kudos to both of you, Jeanie!

  2. Wow! So happy to read this. I love the smile on his face. 20 spinal taps!!! That poor child. I pray he will be totally cured.
Great to see you posting. I know I should too, but my mojo is just....gone. :)

  3. I hope, hope, hope, that Addison enjoys good health for a very long time to come!

  4. Glad all your computer "stuff" is fixed and jiving. YAY!! God bless Addison - when I think of all he has been through I am humbled. His smile is BEAUTIFUL and I pray he has a beautiful life in the future.

  5. Addison has gone through a lot in his young life. I wish him well. You don't happen to have Comcast do you? We have terrible problems with their Internet service - esp in the mts. However there's not a lot of choice.

  6. Thank God!!! What a fantastic way for Addison to share his great news!!!
The angels are singing for that brave kid.

  7. Way to go, Addison! What a gigantic smile on his face. He is a warrior of warriors! God Bless this little guy! Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear about the computer. My laptop does funny stuff, too!

    Have a great week!

  8. You talk about inspirations! Addison will be mine! What a trooper!

And congrats on your internet repair. I think I will be going through the same things shortly after retirement. It works OK for now, but if I'm going to be working on it a lot, it's time for faster net and maybe a new 'puter!

  9. What FANTASTIC NEWS for young Addison!!!

Jeanie, if you send me your email address I will send you an invite to read PEPSI, my private blog if you wish?

I have to go out for a couple of hours, but will add you as soon as I can get back to my computer.

  10. Addison is such a brave person and a real hero!

  11. Oh man.

That picture really puts things into perspective.

Sending prayers to him and his family.

  12. Yae for both your computer and Addison. I love his positive outlook. I get really frazzled when something goes wrong with my computer.
