I Didn't Know He Could Take The Lid Off

16 month old Beck was asleep in his car seat and 4 year old EJ was in her seat coloring when my daughter, Joanna, stopped at a friends house to deliver some Girl Scout cookies for her other daughter, Hope. She stood outside the car talking to her friend for a couple of minutes. This is what she saw when she opened the car door.

Beck seemed very pleased with his artwork. EJ told her mom , "I'm really sorry, mom. I just thought he would want to hold a marker, so I gave it to him. I didn't know he could take the lid off."

Apparently EJ was wrong about that.

  3. A true Van Gogh in me makin'!

Booger, rubbin' alcohol will lift markers but I don't know how it works of leather.

Hope ya'll find somethin' that'll fix it.

God bless and have yourself a fantabulous weekend!!!

  5. Too bad about the seats - but look at the cool story and photos you'll be talking about for years to come!

  6. well of course he was proud. His work could hang in the MOMA.

    But as for Mama...

I hope it can be simply a great story with photos to commemorate, and not the actual artwork SEATS.

  7. Oh my gosh! What did your daughter do? I wonder if a leather cleaner would take it off. The dealer may have some suggestions on how to clean the marker off.

  10. I did a post about how we got off ball point ink stains from our leather chairs using Purell.

I don't know if it'd work on marker stains, but it might be worth a try.

Oh dear! I remember when our baby son wrote all over the wall. But... ouch! This looks pretty bad. Makes a good story though. :-)

  11. This is the reason I do not have good upholstery anywhere. Kids do the darndest things, even high school kids whom I would ferry around in my car. When I bought the last car I was very specific about seats that would withstand anything. My Subaru has removable covers that can be dry cleaned. Might be something your daughter would want to look into.

  16. Gah! Be sure to post photos of the cleaned seats...and how she managed it. IF she manages. Crazy, crazy kids. You can't help but chuckle over such antics. At least when you're the grandma. :o)
