Men.....Sheesh!

The other day Doc asked me if we could turn the heat up a little because it was really cold in his office. One thing Doc never does is say anything about the temperature in the house. Another thing he never does, according to his own set of rules, is touch the thermostat in a house where a woman lives.

I, who am always willing to adjust the thermostat according to my own comfort level, said sure and turned it up a couple of degrees. Before long the rest of the house was getting very hot, but Doc said his office was feeling fine now.

Hmm? A wee bit of investigation on my part revealed that the window in Doc's office was open an inch or two and the heating vent in the room was closed. This is from a man who, as I have said before, is something of a home maintenance freak. I guess it is easier to decide the house needs a coat of paint or all the windows need to be replaced than it is to check for an open window in a cold room.

Men! Sheesh.

Window closed, vent open, problem solved.

It is 7 degrees right now with lows tonight below zero. I will be exercising my thermostat skills.

Funny. I am the one who is usually cold. At the inlaws..who are 89,,,I was so hot I could hardly breath. Grandma couldn't keep her hands off of the thermostat. Oh well...I am sure I will be that way at that age (o:
It is crazy cold!!! I don't like this!!!

Men are funny creatures, for sure. When we were first married we slept with the bedroom window open every night, even in the winter. I grew to love that. Suddenly, he never wants the window open at night again! He must have gotten too cold at one point.

LOL! You sound as though you are quite gifted in the art of "thermostat control". Mister and I jockey for who can win on where to set the thermostat. We sneak in to adjust it when the other is distracted. It has just turned cold here, so let the battle begin!

We are no where nearly as cold as where you are.
BRRRRRR!

This morning it was 28 when I woke up at home near Seattle. Tonight it's 69 as I go to bed in Waikaloa, Hawaii.

Too cute about the open window! We fight the thermostat game here, LOL. I tend to turn the heat off during the day but now that hubby is home on some cool mornings I've notiched he's been turning it back on or turning the heat back on earlier in the evening than I would have (cost conscious here LOL).

Those are cool temps!! Throw an extra blanket on the bed!

That's really funny. My hubby is always checking the windows, but there are a few other seemingly obvious adjustments he doesn't think to make.

7 degrees? That's frigid! My husband tends to get hot, because he is pretty hairy. I tend to get cold, because I am rather hairless. We had to buy 2 twin blankets for our bed -- a thin one for him and a thick one for me.

I LOVE it! You could really hold this over your husband and remind him of what a good problem solver you are.

Wow! It's a little early to get this cold, isn't it?

Now THAT is CCCCOLLLD! Unimaginable for me. I guess your hubby will be checking the windows from now on, when he feels cold. haha

Hope you´re keeping warm!

Seven degrees? Yikes, it's nippy in Colorado! I'd be exercising not only my thermostat skills but my "closing window" skills, too! Glad you're around for him!

My husband turns the heater on in our bedroom when he's cold, but forgets that he opened the window earlier.
