Dinner Tonight

I am looking forward to a special dinner tonight.....a belated birthday dinner with my 3 kids. Of course,  I love family get-togethers of all kinds, but this is the first time in a very long time that I have done something with just me and my kids......the last time may have been way back when my son was a senior in high school and we all went to Disneyland. I'm sure they will all be ready to remind me of a time since then, but that is my best recall.

Me and my "kids" at my birthday party last year. (I'm the old one in the red feather boa).

Thanks to everyone who let me know that apparently Blogger ate my blog background and left only multiple repetitions of something like "this image has been removed." I have no clue what happened, but then I am usually clueless about the internal workings of Blogger. I wasn't able to resurrect my original background, but I think I was able to at least, with a little help, get something back there. If anyone has any idea what happened or how to fix it, please let me know. In the meantime, I will just do what I usually do and hope that it miraculously fixes itself.

  1. What a sweet gesture for your kids to invite you to dinner, Jeanie! We have a Cheesecake Factory near us and it's always fun to dine there. I hope you take your appetite along and have a wonderful evening with them. Snap some pictures while you're there!

  10. How wonderful for you, Jeanie. I hope your birthday dinner with the kids at the Cheesecake Factory was grand (with LOTS of cheesecake!). I think that's a great idea and might suggest it for my mom's birthday next year. It's rear that her "original 5 kids" as she calls us minus spouses and grandkids are alone together. It sounds like fun.

No idea here what's up with Blogger. It has its way with me on a regular basis. I just close my laptop and hope it settles down by the next time I log in. Ha!

  12. I hope your birthday dinner was extra special with that great group of kids that you produced. Isn't it nice to be all together? I wish those times were not so rare.

Also, I hope blogger righted itself. I live in fear of such things. I should know more of this blogger stuff than I do. Don't you love that word "stuff?" That is how it seems to me. It is a lot of stuff that is a mystery.

  14. This is a great picture of you and your kids on your birthday last year. How you can call yourself the "old one" is beyond me. You look like their sister. Hope your dinner was great this year as well and I look forward to seeing a picture sometime. I think it is a huge blessing to have special time just you and your grown children. How thoughtful of them to arrange that. Hope your birthday was special and loving, like you are.

  17. I think blogger messed up your post!

I don't see anybody old in a red boa.

I only see a beautiful, vibrant, lovely, happy and young looking person!

    Happy Belated.
