I am celebrating my birthday today by packing to travel 7 miles to my youngest daughters house to stay with her two youngest kids for a week (EJ, 5 and Beck, 2 1/2). While I was packing I got a wonderful birthday surprise on Facebook from my friend Betty at A Glimpse Into Midlife. She is sending me these beautiful flowers through Facebook Gifts. It makes me feel very special to get such a greeting from a good friend who lives over 5000 miles away in Paraguay. Thank you, Betty.
Even though it is a low key birthday, I have not been at all neglected. I got a nice gift from Doc and Dodger this morning, several birthday calls from friends and family and an invitation from my three kids to a birthday dinner with them later this month when things have settled down a bit for everyone.
I'm sure that after a week with two little kids I will be feeling every one of my 66 years, but I am looking forward to all the fun that will wear me out. Oh, and I am sure I will get some birthday hugs and kisses that will make it all worthwhile.
Happy Birthday Jeanie! I hope you have a wonderful time with your grands-you will be tired when you get back home. At least we are having nice weather so you should have lots of outside playtime.

ReplyDeleteHi Jeanie, sorry I am a day late in wishing you a Happy Birthday...I celebrated my 66th last June 8th. This year is so crazy with family weddings, births, birthdays, showers, are heads are just spinning! Add in the triple digit weather and we just can't wait for this year to be over. January, my Mom, daughter, sister and I are going to stay down at the beach in Laguna for a weekend....I CAN'T WAIT. Hi to Doc and give Dodger a pet from us and WOOF from Izzy. Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteHappy, Happy Birthday, and have a great time with your grands.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, youngster! Have fun with the Grands. I will have Sam for 10 days the end of the month. Good times, but I'm sure he'll tire Grammy out! Take some pics.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late to the party but I'm sending you heart-felt belated birthday wishes. It sounds like a lovely day for you, Jeanie.
ReplyDeleteHave fun (or should I say good luck?) with the kids. Try not to get exhausted in the process.
Safe travels. We'll be watching for photos!
