There is a search underway in our area for this little 10 year old girl, Jessica Ridgeway, who has been missing since Friday morning.

She was last seen when she left home to meet friends to walk to school at 8:30 on Friday morning. She never met her friends and she didn't make it to school.
Police, family and friends and members of the public continue to search the area where she went missing in temperatures that are 30 degrees below normal. It didn't get out of the 30s today and is expected to be in the low 20s tonight. It is supposed to start getting warmer tomorrow, but hopefully she will be found before then.
I have a 10 year old granddaughter. She played in a soccer tournament today. She was cold, but she was safe with her family and friends. I can fully imagine the horror and fear Jessica's family are going through.
Please say a prayer, light a candle, send out your best wishes that Jessica will soon be found safe and be able to return to her home and her family.
Sending prayers for her safety and hope she is home soon.

I'm hoping that Jessica returns to her family safely. I cannot imagine the anguish of her loved ones.
ReplyDeleteOH! Awful! And in your own area. -sigh-
ReplyDeleteI can't wrap my mind around the terror, which this family must be enduring...
Best wishes for her to be found, safe.
Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"
When I read about this type of incident, my mind races and I imagine the worst. I hope and pray that Jessica is rescued wherever she is!
ReplyDeleteHi, I am your newest follower. Love your blog. I heard about this little girl...a missing child is just a parent's worst nightmare. I grew up in the greater Denver area and still have family there in Denver and Colorado Springs so this "Amber Alert" really struck home. We will all hope and pray that Jessica is found safe and soon! I look forward to following more of your posts!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on the news today, but didn't realize she was in your area. We watched our 10 yr old play soccer on Sat. too. When you think of Jessica in those terms it sure makes the situation seem personal.
ReplyDeleteThis breaks my heart. I hope she is found and is safe.
ReplyDeleteI hate this, hate this, hate this! So many children in danger these days and I pray with all my heart that she will be found safe.
