I need a whole new wardrobe
I'm pretty sure that calling all those clothes in my closet a "wardrobe" is a bit of a stretch, but whatever I call them I wish I could just pitch them and start from scratch. Every morning I look at a closet full of clothes and have nothing to wear.
Since getting rid of everything doesn't jibe too well with reality I guess I need a better plan. Creativity is not my strong suit so I will probably just start with the tried and true-if I haven't worn it for two years out it will go, to a good cause, of course. At least maybe then I will at least have fewer things that I don't want to wear.

I keep everything. My closet is so crowded. Sometimes, though, I go shopping in my closet and find things I hadn't worn in years or forgot that I had. Much less expensive than the alternative.
ReplyDeleteI just got a new small summer wardrobe...I had a need though. But I know that feeling when your closet is full and there is still nothing to wear!
ReplyDeleteYou're speaking for thousands of women everywhere!
ReplyDeleteGreat post & great blog!
Happy 6WS - and look forward to *seeing* you again next time!
Mine’s HERE!
LOLA:)
When I was working, my older daughter helped me pick clothes and find new innovative ways to put clothes together I couldn't see. She would have me try on an outfit and then she would dig through all my clothes and come up with other tops or jackets or accessories and I would have many more outfits than the way I would do it. I got to where I could see very different ways to use things and get a pretty cool look.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI see you needed a recipe for Bienenstich. Check out this site, they have a lot of good Mennonite recipes:

I'm the same way. I wish I can go buy a whole new wardrobe too. I just get a new piece here and there. At that rate, it'll take forever. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHappy SWS and have a great weekend!
I so know that feeling! Happy 6WS!

I hate the clothes that fit me and love what's in my closet that's too little but I'm working on it!!
ReplyDeletewith six kids and always providing for them I could use a whole new wardrobe myself
ReplyDeleteYes, I know the feeling well! But I like your last line...having fewer things we don't want to wear is probably an improvement on the present situation!
ReplyDeleteJeanie, I think most women have that problem. I know two for sure, you and Mrs. Jim, :) Of course you need winter clothes where you live.
ReplyDeleteHappy 6WS! My train has stopped on 6SW.
..
loved your 6-word Saturday entry today, Jeanie. I need to update my wardrobe too. Sad thing is I have lots of things I like to wear but can't fit into these days (but I'm trying to work on that). My problem is I don't work outside of the house, but at home in jeans or whatever, so I don't have any nice business casual or whatever you call it since I tend to live in jeans and tee-shirts or sweatshirts
ReplyDeletehave fun going through your closet :)
betty
Hi Jeanie,
ReplyDeleteI'm in the process of cleaning out my room. Its a real challenge is it not? I mean, I've gained weight and I wonder if I will eventually loose it? And I already know the answer to that question.LOL. Good luck with the project. Passing by from 6 WS. Thanks for sharing.

what fabulous six words...
ReplyDeleteI just come home from Academic All State Award Ceremony, My older son wins the award among 100 students around the state, it is $1000 in cash.
ReplyDeleteI am so very tickled by your lovely comment.
Thank you for the encouragement.
Cheers!
I can certainly relate to looking in my closet and having nothing to wear.
ReplyDeleteDo you have girlfriends who are your size? You could all do a clothing swap and get some 'new to you' stuff for free. Then you could donate the unclaimed stuff to charity.
I know what you mean. I also have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. It seems I wear the same 4 things over and over. I bet I could get rid of 3/4 of my clothes and not ever miss them.
