I am to pass the award along to five bloggers. That is the hard part since there are many I would like to pass it to. When I think of a blog friend the first person that always comes to my mind is Betty at A Glimpse Into Midlife. She is the best there is in a friend, blog or otherwise. This is exactly what goes on in the blog world, isn't it? It especially hit me when I did my posts about being adopted, and about my mother being an alcoholic, the number of people who contacted me privately and said ME, TOO...or my sister is, my mother is, I have a sister who I've never met...etc. Sometimes we do think we're alone in some situation that has touched our lives, and to find someone else is to almost be validated.
Thanks for the lovely quotes on friendship. I'm going to copy some of them to my 'quote' journal.
I also think that those of us who reach out to others, in this new form of social networking are making a whole new wonderful set of friends. Imagine hearing that this was how we'd meet new people when we were teenagers. We would never have believed it.
