Friends forever, through thick and thin.
Bella, 7, and Addison, 9, were both diagnosed with Leukemia one day apart in April, 2010.
They have been best friends through years of chemo treatment (Bella for 2 years and Addison for 3 years). Their support for one another has been an amazing thing to see.
Addison is the son of a good friend of my daughter, Joanna.
They have both now completed treatment and are working together to raise funds to help conquer the disease they have both fought through.
Best friends forever.
Your six words are powerful, dear Jeanie, and this post will be an inspiration to everyone who reads it! Looking at the latest picture of Bella and Addison, one would never suspect they fought such a tough battle during their young lives. They both look to be in excellent health now and I applaud them for taking up the worthy cause of raising money to help other kids who are fighting this disease.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you, dear Jeanie!
What a lovely story. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNot very many years ago, this disease was a death sentence, particularly nasty because it strikes children. I knew several strong outstanding young men who passed from this disease in the prime of their life. Glad that there is now hope for those who come down with it, though the treatment must be hell.
ReplyDeleteI hope these two are in remission and cured. Clearly their friendship will live forever.
Oh how sweet! I am so glad to hear both of them have finished their treatments; I can only hope/pray they will never have to go through this again and will be disease free forever! (wouldn't it be interesting if years down the line they get married?)
