Where have all the flowers gone?
The prediction is that these little crocus' outside my window and the tulips in front will be covered with 10 inches of snow by the end of today. We had temps in the 60s earlier this week and should be back in the 60s next week so hopefully the flowers will be back soon.

Note: This little post is a violation of my pledge to myself not to do posts about the weather but the poor little cold crocus' looked like they needed some attention.
Poor things. The weather sure has been crazy this year.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful (if snowy!) day. ☺
Can't tell one plant from the other with all that snow on top. Ah, well, have a good day!

Made me think of an old song.

Oh, no… sadness! I hope they come back soon too.
ReplyDeleteThey'll be back! They look forward to your TLC!! I love how Spring is "working it's way back" to us! Love your song reference. Thank goodness for the "classic" radio stations. We don't have to admit our age, just that we like the music on those stations!!!!! Great Six Words!
ReplyDeleteWe are having a splash of spring but don't feel confident yet to rejoice. Our weather has gone from sunny to bleak this entire winter.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I liked about March snows, they didn't hang around too long, though sometimes they could be wetter and heavier than the January snows.
ReplyDeleteSoon, so very soon, those flowers will be back!
have a great weekend Jeanie!
betty
Where are you? Extremes seem to be the norm right now. Just plain soggy in my part of the world.
ReplyDeletePoor little flowers brrr
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanie...I love it when the crocus poke their heads through the earth to brighten our days and give us hope that spring is just around the corner! They must be strong little flowers to do that...and I am hoping yours will survive the 10 inches of snow!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!
Linda
I did it!! I caught up. Loved your Valentine pictures... what a cute story. The snow adventure was crazy. I heard the story already, but was good to read it. I noticed you were not holding a snow board (o: If you have that happen again... be sure to check it out. Liked the funny pics from 'The Old Men'. (o:
ReplyDeleteWe're probably about 6-8 weeks away from crocuses up here. Count your blessings.
ReplyDeleteThey look indeed poor and cold, your crocus'. We were having gorgeous spring weather in the past week but temperatures dropped as well and more snow and cold weather are in the forecasts! Too bad. We'll have to wait for a bit longer for real spring ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
I think it's okay to mention the weather when it's nuts: ) We got a foot of snow on Friday and it's sunny and 50 degrees today. I'll take more off the latter, thank you!
ReplyDeleteA spark of color beneath the plain, white snow. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNow, that just sucks.
ReplyDeleteWe live in Colorado. We must talk about the weather. It is interesting here. You have to admit that.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about the flowers though. It will be warm in a few days.
Doesn't it just hurt when the snow covers the buds and flowers? Sure does get me. Sigh. It's ALMOST spring...
ReplyDeleteAw, those poor babies. The weather sure is being wacky.

Well I'm glad you broke your pledge!
ReplyDeleteI have a new meme to check out.
Isn't it amazing how those crocuses can come back after a snow fall? Used to always make me smile.
