I have never been what anyone would call a prolific blogger. The truth is that I am more of a hit and miss bogger, but I usually come up with a post at least a couple of times a week. Lately I feel more like an almost never blogger.
I blame baseball.
My four oldest grandkids are all playing baseball this summer and it seems like almost anytime I am not at work there is a baseball game to go to. I am, in fact, missing a game this morning, but there are two more I could go to today. There are two Monday night, one Wednesday night.....and so on until sometime in July. I don't get to all of them by any means, but I love to go to the ones I can, which leaves me with little time for blogging or much of anything else right now.
When time and energy permit I will, of course, choose blogging over cooking, or laundry or any other chores, but if I don't show up here much for a while it is all baseball's fault.
As much as I love blogging and the satisfying feelings I get when I can write something that makes sense, I'm right there with you and the baseball games. In no time, they will be off with friends or (gasp) driving and working! Go to as many games, recitals, auditions and performances as you can! Then write about them! I find my kids have been great at giving me ideas for blogging!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Those sports sure can keep you busy. I haven't been blogging much lately - we have had quite a bit of family passing through, but I have lots of pics to post someday.
ReplyDeleteFamily should always come first! I find it is harder to blog when the weather is nice; there is so much to do outside. Enjoy the games.
ReplyDeleteThere is no better reason not to blog - then grand-kids!
ReplyDeleteI think its cool you try to get to their games, Jeanie!! I always say blogging should come last after family! so enjoy them and the nice pleasant summer weather!!

I'm pretty much a hit or miss blogger too. But it's your blog and you can blog when you feel like it. We'll still be here. Baseball is much more important!
ReplyDeleteenjoy those cames you will miss them one day...my son and daughter both played....it was crazy...but now that I look back it was fun...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy those games. i wish my grandchildren lived closer so I could go to their games. Blogging is a past time that should not substitute for real life. Cheer those kids on!
ReplyDeleteJeanie, you are a woman after my own heart. I can't imagine too many things more important than baseball.
ReplyDeleteSure, we're really talking about family here, but blaming baseball is the perfect excuse.
I understand Jeanie! Life happens...and blogging has to stop sometimes. I have just taken a bloggy break...because I had company for three weeks.
ReplyDeleteThen I went to start blogging again and blogger was messing up. Ugh!
My daughter Lynnette somehow got the last post published for me...but I couldn't do it after a couple days of trying. There have been some blogger issues and I have read that others are having problems posting too..
Anyway...it hasn't really hurt me to be gone for awhile. Life goes on!
Enjoy the baseball games...and the grandkids!
Love, Linda
Enjoy the baseball season!
ReplyDeleteHey....
ReplyDeleteI would choose watching my Grands play a sport (or whatever) over blogging any day (o:
Enjoy your grandkids' games.
ReplyDeleteThese years are over so quickly so enjoy the grandkids' games while they are involved in sports. My grandkids played so many games and I was at most of them.
ReplyDeleteCompletely understandable and acceptable. I sure wish I had nearby grandkids to keep me away from the computer. I'd give up blogging for a kid's baseball game any day. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! take me out to the ball game...!
ReplyDeleteYou're a devoted Grandma that's for sure. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand...I have been having a lot of weird stuff going on with Blogger over on my blogs...but hopefully, it is ironed out...that, or all my normal visitors are watching baseball...
ReplyDeleteGot a Shingles shot and I had an allergic reaction to it. I am officially allergic to Neosporin, which is in the vaccine... Went to Urgent Care last night and the doc gave me steroids. Holy Moly! I have had energy to BURN today!!! I can see why athletes like it! I feel like I am 20 again!!
Big hugs...hope all their teams win!
I see you're still busy with baseball?????
ReplyDeleteYou will be able to blog forever, or for as long as you choose. Baseball? It will be over before you know it, and you'll be wishing you were there again, rooting them on.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good grandma. I'm sure the kids appreciate you cheering for them at the games (even if they don't say to at the time).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yourself and hope the kids are having fun.

PS Don't worry about blogging. We'll be here when the games are over.
You are doing what you should putting your grandkids first!!
