I'm not usually prone to fanciful thinking, so please don't think I've gone crazy. I think my computer is haunted. Really!
Lately, when I have had the sound turned up on my computer, from time to time a very evil sounding laugh comes out of the speaker. There is no pattern to when it happens, it just happens, sometimes several times in a row, and then not again for a long time. I know I am not the most computer savvy person around, but having some evil computer ghost laughing at me is really starting to make me feel
I am sure there is some logical, non-spooky explanation about the ghost in my computer. If any of you computer gurus know what it is, please let me know.
A couple of years ago mine had a knock. No joke. sporadically a knockin' sound would come from it. I sounded just like someone knockin' at my door. The once last year I was readin' away from the computer and out of the blue a voice said, "Well, would you imagine that."
ReplyDeleteI believe that they become demon possessed and we just need to lay hands on 'em! Heeehehehe!!!
God bless ya girl and have a great day! :o)
That's really creepy! Maybe you have some sort of virus that causes it. I'll be intersted to see what others say about it.
ReplyDeleteI have never had that happen to me, but I would feel very uneasy about it.....
ReplyDeleteinteresting....a little spooky
ReplyDeleteWhere's Doc when this happens?
ReplyDeleteI think I would turn the sound off!
ReplyDeleteMy son is computer literate....he said it might be something someone else has put on your computer...
ReplyDeleteHe said: when does it happen, who has access to your computer, does it happen when you are not touching the mouse or keyboard, does it only happen when your speakers are on full volume?
If you can answer those questions he might be able to find out why you have the 'evil laugh'!
So... pop over to my blog with the answers if ya want.... http://diet-coke-rocks.blogspot.com
that is kind of scary, Jeanie. especially if it comes out of the blue!! I hope Chris's son will be able to help you! A few years ago, our TV would just turn itself on spontaneously. We would turn it off at nighttime and then wake up in the middle of the night with the sound on (not picture, but sound only). We finally figured out our signal had to be close to the neighbor's signal next door and if he turned his on, ours came on too (that's what we thought because I checked with the cable company and they had never heard of anything like this before). After they moved, we never had any further problems. Hoping you get to the root of your dilemma. Can you just mute the sound?

So much happens when we are on the internet. Sometimes I have one screen open and go into several tabs and when I close down the computer there are a few goofy things behind it all that latched on while I was browsing. And sometimes one of those things makes noise.
ReplyDeleteThat is just plain scary.....hope Chris's son can help you. If I remember I will ask the 2 computer 'Geek Guys' that live here (o:
ReplyDeleteMy cell phone is always in my jeans pocket... and one day it said... "Pam" in that creepy computer voice. No one believed me... it has happened more than once, but I never have a witness.
I'm no computer guru, but I'd say, yes, your computer's haunted! Gah!
ReplyDeleteReally? That sounds as if you have some kind of program running in the background... maybe a virus? You ought to get someone to look at that. If it happens when you've been browsing, you might want to clear your cache, for example.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking it was some kind of virus, too. I sure hope you can get your computer exorcised. That's really weird.
ReplyDeleteNow that is another good reason to keep the volume muted at all times! That would freak me out.
ReplyDeleteThat would scare me to death! When my husband come back inside I will ask him.
ReplyDeleteVERY CREEPY!! I agree...where is Doc? Did someone else own the computer before you? Maybe it could be some kind of a virus... or someone has access to your computer...what about instant messaging? There are sounds and voices available on them...
