The Pictures Aren't So Beautiful, But What They Mean Is

I know that Spring here has not yet sprung, but after a week of sun and some 60 degree weather we can finally see grass again after several months of having everything covered with snow. We will have more snow, maybe a lot, but it will melt fast. These pictures are not so beautiful, but what they mean is....the worst of winter is past and Spring is on it's way.

The snow is melting

There's a hint of green in the grass

and flowers are beginning to grow

An optimist is the human personification of spring.

Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.

  1. Your flowers make me hopeful. We've had a few days of pretty weather here in Missouri. But our weatherman says not to put the snow shovels up just yet. Thanks for stopping by today.

    Have a fantastic week,
    Debbie

  2. It does just feel different, doesn't it, being not quite spring but definitely toward the tail end of winter. It's getting light earlier in the morning, the sun is at a different angle in the afternoon, the birds are tweeting a little louder, the mockingbirds are staking their claim on the yards. This has been the longest winter in so many ways that just the hint of spring puts in spring in my step!

  6. I understand your excitement, however, I need to live in a snowy area so I can appreciate the grass a little more. Here the gardeners mow every Friday, year round. Now you have colors to look forward to.

  8. Woohoo!!! I love the green and the spring. I even went outside without my gloves and got dirt under my nail yesterday. I was cravin' me some dirt. At almost 70 here yesterday they have our highs over the weekend in the low to mid 40's. What a tease that Mother Nature is!!!

Enjoy this day and may it be filled with sweet blessings from above!!!
